Health Care Administration (HCA) is a fast-growing field with the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare environments. As a healthcare administrator, your job is to provide leadership and assistance in managing healthcare organizations. Often, you’d be working behind the scenes to ensure patients are provided with quality healthcare, and that the administrative side of the healthcare operation care runs efficiently.
Arizona College offers an Associate’s of Applied Science Degree in Health Care Administration. Our 7.5 month program is 100% online and prepares you for a career in health care leadership.
Please Note: To enroll in the Health Care Administration degree program, a student must meet the following requirements:
1. Student must have previous work experience in health care. his experience can be any health care position (Administrative or Patient-Focused)
2. Must have graduated from a previous health care education program that includes at least 40 academic credits. Overall GPA must be 2.0 or better from the previous health care program.

Diploma Programs
Dental assistants aid the dentist in the examination and treatment of patients. Their duties include taking and developing x-rays, assisting in the operatory (four-handed dentistry), construction and preparation of temporary crowns and bridges. The dental assistant is also involved in the efficient operation of the dental practice. Insurance, patient relations, billing and the greeting of patients are some of the duties performed by the dental assistant.

This is accomplished through approximately one half of the course consisting of lecture/demonstration and one half hands-on laboratory procedures.

Their responsibilities may include: checking vital signs, drawing blood, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for examination, performing basic laboratory tests, applying bandages, and sterilizing instruments. Office duties may include answering the telephone, recording and filing patient data, completing insurance forms, handling correspondence and arranging outside services.
